Because so many of the questions that we receive have to do with published research, we offer links to articles and transcripts in many of our answers. Additionally, when Dr. Ray receives a great many questions on a particular topic, she will often answer in a broadcast call or recording. These recordings and PDFs are available for you below.

1. How do you recommend preparing for a huge athletic performance?
My recommendation is to take Juice Plus+. In addition, I recommend the green drink from Do You Have The Guts to Be Beautiful?, and add Juice Plus+ Complete. Start each day with a huge green drink, which fuels the body for performance with complex carbohydrates, protein, fats, antioxidants and other phytonutrients, trace minerals, and fiber.
In general, it’s important for an endurance athlete to eat loads of whole grains for calories, and to consume huge amounts of fruits and vegetables.
You can also read this article that I wrote about athletes and nutrition.
2. Which are the safest sunscreens to use on my skin?
Most sunscreens have lots of chemical active ingredients that harm your health. It’s important that your sunscreen have zinc oxide as the active ingredient.
We recommend Soleo Organics SPF-30 Sunscreen. This brand of sunscreen contains zinc oxide and natural ingredients.

5. Where can I find good colloidal minerals?
A good source for buying colloidal minerals used to www.betraceminerals.com. You know you are using the proper mix of minerals if the source of the minerals is a listed as some pit in the ground in the state of Utah. All good brands of colloidal minerals are harvested from here.
