Tim Blank serves as CEO of Future Growing LLC, CEO of Green Earth Building Group, LLC, and CTO of Tower Garden LLC. Future Growing is dedicated to growing healthy local food by utilizing vertical aeroponic technology to grow under any conditions in the world. Future Growing has three main areas of focus that include commercial aeroponic Tower Garden® farms, rooftop Tower Garden® farms, and urban Tower Garden® farms.
Growing up in a rural farm community of the western Dakotas, Blank gained a great appreciation for agriculture and the land we all steward. Having a passion for both agriculture and science, Blank graduated from Valencia Collage 1992 with a degree in Horticulture Science and Greenhouse Management.
Blank began his accomplished horticulture career at The Walt Disney Company in 1993. During his six-and-a-half year tenure at the Walt Disney Company, Blank was responsible for conducting research in every horticultural discipline under controlled environment agriculture. He also served as a research liaison for Walt Disney World’s partnerships with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This advanced research has been used to aid in the detection of plant stress in various hydroponic growing systems around the world.
In 2000, Blank accepted the position as Chief Horticulturist and Greenhouse Manager of The Land Pavilion at Epcot. He managed four hydroponic biomes over a two‐acre area consisting of tropical, temperate, commercial production, and aeroponic greenhouses. To further support the operations of the facility, he also managed a team comprised of scientists and advanced horticultural interns.
Blank has co‐authored several papers pertaining to the extensive collaborative research at The Land and has traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad, speaking on the groundbreaking research. He is accredited with implementing innovative advances in technology, as well as new growing concepts and techniques that have strengthened The Land’s world class status.
In June of 2005, Blank left the Walt Disney Company and partnered with several other international experts in the hydroponic field to launch a one of a kind company called Future Growing, LLC. Well known in the hydroponic community, he is also a popular keynote speaker at global agricultural and environmental conferences.
In addition to serving as CEO of Future Growing, LLC, and Green Earth Building Group, Blank recently partnered with Jay Martin to form a sister company under NSA/Juice Plus, called Tower Garden LLC, where Blank serves as CTO. Mr. Blank is excited about how this new venture and collaboration will help further the mission Future Growing LLC and Tower Garden LLC share in common: Inspiring healthy living around the world.
